I undertake long-term photography projects about local communities. I document people, objects, settings and activities and share stories to inform, influence and inspire.

Books are central to how I share these stories so I set up Roller and Wave.

I have a background, and a PhD, in community empowerment and have spent much of my life living in and working with communities in Africa, Central America and South Asia. My wife and I are now raising our kids at the seaside in the south-east of England where I am a Fellow at the Margate School. It's nice here.
